
Ad-din Women’s Medical College
Ad-din Foundation was established in 1980 with the aim of supporting the underprivileged majority of Bangladesh. Its first project was building an orphanage in Jessore. During its thirty-seven years with development, Ad-din has expanded its existence of diverse projects in several parts of the country. Ad-din hospitals were established with the aim of providing affordable quality care. Ad-din’s chain hospitals are now recognized as centers of excellence acclaimed for their quality, affordability, and patient friendliness. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh accorded approval to Ad-din Women’s Medical College (AWMC), Dhaka in 2008, Ad-dinSakina Medical College (ASMC), Jessore in 2012, Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College (BAMC), Keranigonj, Dhaka in 2013 and Ad-dinAkij Medical College (AAMC), Khulna in 2013. Ad-din is trying to secure excellent teaching facilities and a dedicated team of faculty members some of whom are authorities in their own disciplines. Given the resources at its disposal, Ad-din continues to develop outstanding medical graduates who are both excellent in their clinical practice and equally conscious about their social obligations.
Affiliation
The college obtained- permission by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh (Ref.: No. ShaPoKoMo / ChiShiJo / BeSoMeKo O DeKoHa-1 / 2008 / 765, dated: 26.10.2008), affiliation by the University of Dhaka (Ref.: Shark no. 40/Ko: Po:, dated: 05.01.2009) and recognition by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council – BM&DC (Ref.: Shark no. BM&DC/13-D-2011/2084, dated:7.3.2012
Vision
The vision of the College is to aspire to achieve national and international recognition for its quality education and capability in developing graduate physicians with the essential knowledge, skill, and professionalism to successfully continue their service and pursue a career to serve the nation better through health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and medical research.
Mission
The mission of the College is to engender produce quality physicians who would contain essential knowledge, skill, and professionalism as prescribed by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) and are capable of good medical practice with the habit of life-long learning, would possess the ability to work in different working situations and be future leaders of the national health care system, would assist in meeting the health care and research needs of the country.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION
- Local and Foreign students should have minimum GPA 9.00 together in S.S.C/O level/Equivalent & HSC/A level/Equivalent (Separately minimum GPA 3.50 in each).
- All students should have minimum GPA 3.50 in subject Biology of H.S.C/Equivalent Exam.
- Students with "O" & "A" level must provide attested photocopy of the Equivalence Certificate issued from the Office of the Director General of Health Services, Mohakhali, Dhaka, Bangladesh as a necessary document of their eligibility.
HOW & WHEN TO APPLY
- Local students should apply according to the instruction of Director General of Health Services (DGHS) after the result of medical admission test.
- Foreign students should apply in the month of September – December.
- Those interested to apply for admission should at first get their S.S.C/O level, H.S.C/A level or equivalent certificates & mark sheets attested by the Ministry of Education as well as Ministry of Foreign Affairs of their own country.
- After that they should apply through the Embassy of Bangladesh in their country providing above mentioned attested documents.
- The Office of Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Dhaka, Bangladesh will then issue Equivalence Certificate which can be collected either through the Bangladesh Mission in their country or directly from the Office of DGHS.
DOCUMENTS TO BE SUBMITTED
- For admission into 1st year MBBS course all students need to apply in prescribed form along with the following documents:
- Attested photocopy of SSC & HSC/ Equivalent Exam Certificate/ Testimonial.
- Attested photocopy of SSC & HSC/ Equivalent Exam Mark Sheets/ Academic Transcript.
- Attested photocopy of Equivalence Certificate issued by DGHS, Dhaka, Bangladesh (for students with "O" & "A" level).
- Three copies of recent passport size Color Photographs.
- Photocopy of Passport/ National ID Card.
- At the time of admission all original documents will be retained by the college until completion of the course.
- 1st year MBBS class usually starts from first week of January or as decided by the Government each year.
SCOPE FOR MCI, NMC
- After obtaining MBBS Degree from Bangladesh, students from India are required to appear in FMGE test, conducted by Medical Council of India.
- MBBS degree obtained from EMC is recognized by NMC & other SAARC countries.
The Ad-din Women’s Medical College (AWMC) campus is situated within the premises of Ad-din Medical College Hospital at 2 Bara Maghbazar, Dhaka.
The academic building has been adequately equipped to accommodate lecture rooms, dissection halls, laboratories, and museums.
Each department has been provided with computers and Internet facilities including access to scanners, multimedia, and other audio-visual aids.

For International Students
Students from SAARC and non-SAARC countries are accepted in the course at Ad-din Women’s College Dhaka and who could complete the requirements set by the DGHS, Government of Bangladesh, and Medical Council/Medical Registration Authority of the respective countries.
Admission Requirements:
For Indian and Nepalis students to be qualified in NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST-NEET-UG-2021.
